Suspect Caught Within Minutes After Robbing Stamford Bank, Police Say

A suspect was apprehended just minutes after robbing the First Bank of Greenwich, Stamford Police said.

The robbery took place around 12:50 p.m. Monday at the bank on Summer Street, said Capt. Richard Conklin.

According to Conklin, police have arrested the suspect and retrieved the money and the note used in the commission of the robbery.

Officers were in the process of interviewing the suspect and obtaining warrants to search his home.
